ECU’s confidence shaken as both quarterbacks falter

It took the Pirates a full three quarters to score an offensive touchdown. James Summers started the game at quarterback against one of the worst run-defenses in the country, but the big plays he became known for after breaking out against Virginia Tech were nowhere to be found.

“There was a lack of execution back there,” said Summers. “More with me. We have to execute and we have to stop having so many penalties.
