The East Carolina University women’s tennis team prepares to hit the road, traveling to Memphis, Tennessee, to face two American Athletic Conference opponents in the University of Memphis on Friday, then Tulane University on Saturday.
According to head coach Tom Morris, the team is excited heading into its matches this weekend, and feel like it’s ready to take on the bulk of conference play.
“These conference matches are very important,” Morris said. “Most of these teams will push us hard and will be good matches, but we feel like we are prepared for them.”
The Pirates (10-4, 1-1 AAC) are on a four-game win streak after an impressive spring break road trip, where they went 4-1.
