The East Carolina University women’s golf team participated in the River Landing Classic earlier this week finishing in second out of 14 teams, with a team score of 868 Tuesday afternoon.
The tournament, hosted by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, was played in Wallace, North Carolina, beginning Monday.
The No. 31 ranked Pirates improved to 87-23 on the season with the second place finish, the second of the year for the team. The Pirates’ scored 280 (eight under par) in their final round, which was the lowest round of the tournament and tied the fifth lowest round in program history.
