The East Carolina University women’s golf team finished its American Athletic Conference season coming in fourth of 10 teams, with 888 points. The AAC Championships started April 14 and concluded on April 16 in Palm Coast, Florida.
The Pirates were coming off the Bryan National Collegiate Classic, which was played from March 29-31 in Greensboro, North Carolina where they finished eighth out of 17 teams, with a total of 889 points.
The conference championship had plenty of strong teams participating, such as the University Houston, the University of Central Florida, the University of Memphis and ECU.
“We were the third highest ranked team in the conference heading into the tournament,” head coach Kevin Williams said.
