The East Carolina University women’s golf team traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina from Friday to Sunday to participate in the Bryan National Collegiate Classic, in which they finished 8th out of 17 teams with a total of of 889 points.
It was the Pirates last tournament of the regular season, as they play the American Athletic Conference next in a couple of weeks.
“We just played really bad the first round and that put us in a hole that was tough to get back from,” head coach Kevin Williams said. “What I was most proud of is that we were able to improve a little bit each day, so we started I guess after the first round, tied for 10th, then ninth after day two, and then the following day we moved up to eight and we were able to beat the No.
