The East Carolina University women’s golf team wrapped up its season on Wednesday on a low note as the team did not finish at the NCAA Austin Regionals due to sickness. The team did not have the four finishers required to place.
The team started play on May 7, and finished the first round of play tied for 12th. Sophomore Dorthea Forbrigd led the Pirates with a score of one over par 73, and freshman Kathryn Carson finished one stroke behind with a score of 74. The team was tied with the University of Oklahoma with a one day score of 299.
