In Palm Coast, Florida, on the final day of the American Athletic Conference Championships, the East Carolina University women’s golf team captured another top-five finish after finishing tied for second Tuesday afternoon.
The second place finish was the fourth top-five finish of the season, and the sixth top-10 finish for the Pirates. Head coach Kevin Williams was proud of the way his team played in the tournament.
“We were able to win the tournament, and that’s all we can ask for,” Williams said, “I’m really pleased with how we played in the final round and I thought the girls performed at high level, but we just fell short.
