East Carolina University women’s basketball team took down Liberty University on Thursday morning in Minges Coliseum in the final seconds on a buzzer beater by Justice Gee, improving its record to 6-2 overall.
After starting the season 5-0, the ECU women’s basketball team entered Thursday on a two-game losing streak. Despite this losing streak, ECU remained fifth in the American Athletic Conference.
Liberty University entered Thursday with record of 2-6, having won its last game against East Tennessee State University standing in sixth place in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Liberty was looking to upset the Pirates on the road while ECU wanted to get back to its winning ways and end its losing streak.
