A demanding American Athletic Conference slate, an early tournament on the west coast and home games against three in-state foes highlight the East Carolina basketball team’s schedule, which was released on Tuesday.
The Pirates, who finished 14-19 last season in coach Jeff Lebo’s fifth season, have 13 games against teams that participated in postseason play last season, including 10 against clubs that competed in either the NCAA tournament or the NIT.
Of the 31 regular-season games on the schedule, 16 are at home. East Carolina will play 18 AAC games with home-and-home series against eight league members and a single game at home against Houston and one at Connecticut.
