ECU swim and dive coaches earn honors

Kobe began working in the ECU program in 1980 as an assistant coach, a position he held for two years before taking over the program and becoming head coach in 1982. After graduation in 2008, Hunt was a volunteer assistant coach until he accepted the head coaching position in 2012.

“There’s not too much I don’t like about my job,” Hunt said. “I like seeing kids excel and can tell when they do some of those correlations with what they’ve learned in our sport.”

Hunt attended ECU, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in health and human performance, while also being a four-year letterman for the Pirates in diving.
