The Pirates (11-6) are coming off of a 4-1 record earned at the Citrus Classic II, where they took victories over Bryant (0-5), North Florida (4-11), Yale (1-4) and Morgan State (2-9).
ECU fell 8-0 to No. 23 Notre Dame in the first game, sparking a winning streak, as it took a 1-0 win over Bryant, 8-4 over North Florida, 7-2 against Yale and finished strong with a final 5-3 victory against Saint Francis (PA) to close out the Citrus Classic.
Sophomore Ashley Cruise helped lead the Pirates in the Classic where she posted a 2-0 record without allowing a run.
