The East Carolina University softball team dropped two games against the University of Houston on the second and final day of its matchups, snapping its six-game winning streak.
In the first game of the double header, the Pirates (15-18, 1-2 AAC) were down by eight runs before they could get on the board in the bottom of the third. The tables turned when ECU posted six runs in the late innings, but couldn’t score enough to pass the Cougars (21-10, 2-1 AAC), losing 10-7.
Although there were no Pirate errors in its dreadful second inning, the Cougars still managed to score five runs on multiple singles and a double.
