ECU soccer ready for new season

After a comeback, 3-2 win against Campbell in their preseason matchup, Donnenwirth explained that three second-half goals is a spark the Pirates needed, that should improve this year’s outlook after their recent subpar seasons.

Junior Annah Lindberg transferred from NC State in the offseason and will likely grab a starting midfield slot. The Pirates look to patch up the absence of Kendall Frey, an attacking center-midfielder who was known for her speed and goal scoring.

Lindberg was a highly-touted recruit at Forest Park High School, where her team went 49-7-3 during her three seasons before she transferred to a school in Florida for her senior year.
