Courtesy of ecupirates.comEast Carolina University’s men’s tennis team opened its season with a win on Saturday, defeating Presbyterian College 4-3 in a comeback victory.
The Pirates fell behind after dropping the doubles point, but came from behind winning four singles matches, including three wins in straight sets. Senior Freddie McGeehan capped off the victory, earning the deciding point at No. 1 singles in a three-set victory.
“There's nothing like jumping right into the season with a tough match,” head coach Shawn Heinchon said in a press release.
