“We lost three tight, close matches that really could have gone either way, so it was just an unfortunate loss against Charlotte,” sophomore Kasey Countee said.
The Pirates (8-9) dropped their fifth match in a row, losing to Central Florida, UNC Greensboro, Liberty, College of Charleston and now Charlotte. They have also lost seven of their last nine dating back to a 4-3 loss to Temple in mid-February.
"Part of the sport is that you win some and you lose some, you just got to learn from your mistakes," senior Tendai Tapfuma said. "So, we all are just working on getting better each day.
