The East Carolina University Lacrosse team hosted a matchup against Drexel University to kick off the weekend, but the Pirates struggled to stay in the game and lost 15-7.
Going into the game, both teams only had two victories on the season but ECU (2-11) gave Drexel a third. The Pirates ended the first half ahead 7-6, but everything changed in the second. The Pirates had more turnovers than Drexel (3-7) and also had less shots on goal. ECU played mostly defense in the second half and when a team is on defense for too long, goals are bound to be given up.
