The East Carolina University women’s lacrosse team wrapped up its season with a 21-8 loss to Duke University on Sunday. The Pirates finished the season with a 2-15 record in their first season as a team.
The Pirates scored first in the game, as freshman midfielder Megan Pallozzi scored the opening goal after just a minute of play. The Blue Devils responded quickly, tying the game just 19 seconds later.
The match was delayed for weather for over an hour, and Pallozzi got back to work quickly after play was resumed, scoring her second goal with 27:34 left to play in the first half.
