East Carolina football coach Scottie Montgomery moved closer to completing his first staff with the appointment of a new offensive line coach on Tuesday.
Geep Wade, who played a pivotal role helping Middle Tennessee rank among the nation’s leaders in both rushing and passing for the last three seasons, will lead the Pirates’ offensive line in 2016. Montgomery also welcomed Ethan Johnson to his staff as director of player personnel after serving in a related capacity as an assistant director at Duke beginning in 2006.
Wade recently concluded his tenure with the Blue Raiders in the Bahamas Bowl, capping a 2015 season that included 5,946 total yards and school records for passing yardage and touchdowns.
