After suffering another loss on the road, East Carolina’s basketball team will need to refocus quickly.
The Pirates (7-5), who fell to 1-15 in their last 16 road games following Sunday’s 67-61 loss at James Madison, close the nonconference portion of their schedule with tonight’s home matchup against South Carolina State (5-7). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Minges Coliseum.
ECU’s last away win not counting neutral site, tournament settings came at American Athletic Conference rival Central Florida on Feb. 28. It was the Pirates’ only road triumph in 12 tries during the 2014-15 campaign, and losses at California, San Diego State, College of Charleston and JMU have followed this season.
