After guiding East Carolina baseball to a victory on opening day last Friday, pitcher Evan Kruczynski said that he hopes the next time he takes the mound will be against Virginia and the Pirates with a 4-0 record.
That is going to happen Friday thanks to the Pirates jumping on N.C. A&T quickly on Tuesday and rolling to an 11-2 victory over the Aggies during the wet and chilly late afternoon hours at Clark-LeClair Stadium.
Sparked by Bryce Harman’s bases-clearing, three-run triple, ECU led 3-0 before the winless Aggies (0-4) recorded an out. Garrett Brooks also tripled in the first inning, which ended with the hosts up 6-0.
