The East Carolina University women’s lacrosse team traveled to Gainesville, Florida on Saturday afternoon to take on the No. 18 ranked Florida Gators. The Pirates were able to hang on during the first half, but the Gators dominated throughout the second to take the win.
ECU (5-10, 0-3 AAC) has yet to win a game in the American Athletic Conference while the Gators (9-6, 3-0 AAC) are still undefeated in its conference play.
At the start of the first half, Florida took over. The Gators went to score the first two goals, while ECU was able to follow with a goal by sophomore midfielder Nicole LeGar, assisted by sophomore attacker Brittany Borchers.
