After an 11 day break, the East Carolina University men’s tennis team fell short to William & Mary, 1-4 on Sunday afternoon.
ECU (11-4) was defeated by William and Mary (3-11) prior to Sunday making this the Pirates’ second straight loss overall. ECU struggled but fought hard against the Tribe as senior Ronny Georgi was the only Pirate to win a match, although that was not enough for ECU to come out on top this weekend.
Senior Vlad Anghel was defeated in two sets by William & Mary’s sophomore Sebastian Quiros 6-3, 6-1, while sophomore Wisse Jonker also fell short in just two sets against junior Brenden Volk 6-1, 6-2.
