The No. 9 ranked East Carolina University baseball team bounced back with two home wins against Monmouth University in a doubleheader on Saturday.
The Pirates (5-1) came off their first loss of the season on the road against Campbell University on Wednesday, looking to get back on track with their weekend series against Monmouth (0-5). Game one was originally scheduled to take place on Friday and the second one on Saturday, but was moved because of the inclement weather.
The Hawks had only played three games, which resulted in a three-game series loss against Penn State University, and are now riding a five-game losing streak.
