Earning its fifth win overall, and fourth in a row, the East Carolina University women's basketball defeated Kennesaw State University 66-56 last night in Kennesaw, Georgia.
The Pirates were led by senior center Thais Oliveira who led all scorers with 22 points, shooting a perfect 9-for-9 from the field. Points were just half the output that Oliveira brought for the Pirates, as she provided nine rebounds, three blocks and three steals in 35 minutes of play. Oliveira stood out in her electric performance controlling the game.
“After the first quarter, I told her that no one can guard her,” head coach Heather Macy said.
