East Carolina football snaps three-game skid with 44-7 rout of UCF

After surrendering the game’s first touchdown on the opening drive, ECU scored 44 unanswered points to close out the game. The Pirates also had three touchdowns called back due to penalties.

Just one game removed from totaling 220 yards and 17 points in a loss to South Florida, the Pirates (5-6, 3-4 American Athletic Conference) accounted for 44 points and a season-high 610 yards in the victory.

The Knights (0-11, 0-7 AAC) remain winless, as it became apparent they are going through a transition period with their inefficient performance.

Junior quarterback Blake Kemp started for the Pirates and led the offense to arguably their best performance of the season.
