"Before the game last week, as a staff, we met with the team and I thought it was very important to bring attention to the team concept that we began six years ago,” said McNeill. “When it's tested during tough times, that's what will get you through.”
In the weeks leading up to the must-win game against UCF, McNeill and his coaches emphasized the need for players to execute play calls and trust their eyes more. After the 44-7 beat down, McNeill said he was proud of the way his team carried out their marching orders.
"It was good to see the kids execute and see them play fast,” said McNeill.
