East Carolina will be lucky if all it lost on Tuesday was a basketball game.
Tulsa beat ECU 84-69 on Tuesday in Minges Coliseum to send the Pirates to their sixth consecutive loss, but the news might get worse if leading scorer B.J. Tyson has to miss extended time. Tyson, who led ECU (8-11, 0-6 AAC) with 16 points, suffered a shoulder injury and left the court with 4:59 left to play.
“He’s going to get an X-ray (today),” sixth-year Pirate coach Jeff Lebo said of the sophomore guard who also had four rebounds and four assists before the injury.
