The regional meet was hosted by the University of Virginia and welcomed a limited number of Pirate runners than prior meets. Seven girls and six guys raced.
In the men’s 10k Pirate anchor Jorge Montes finished 2:30 behind Hokie winner Thomas Curtin with a time of 31.37, good for 83rd overall. Finishing next for the guys, in order, were Pol Sollanelles (118, 32.12), Brather Cline (146, 32.50), Corbin Boyles (164, 33.11), Nick Ciaccia (166, 33.13), and Abel Tecle (193, 34.28). The senior Cline ran his last meet ever with the Pirates and will be the only runner not expected to return to a young men’s team next fall.
