East Carolina University’s cross country teams have brought most of their teams back and added some new athletes for fall 2017. The men’s and women’s teams are hungry to compete and are looking to improving their ranks in the American Athletic Conference.
Coach Josey Weaver is starting his second year as the head cross country coach and has helped to make sure his student athletes have been preparing with a structured routine. Weaver said he’s proud to see where his athletes are this early in the season after having had one official team practice. The athletes on both teams remained healthy over the off-season, giving some of the hurt players a chance to rehabilitate previous injuries.
