As senior forward Courtney Cash of the East Carolina University women’s soccer team approaches the end of her senior season, she has also reflected on all of her soccer experiences up to this point.
Cash is from Cary, North Carolina and started playing soccer at a young age. After trying other sports, she realized she was good with her feet. She started off her exploration of soccer as a defender, but as the years progressed she struck her coaches as a forward and midfielder. Cash learned how to play all of the positions and became a well-rounded player, with coaches being able to put her in any position needed.
