The East Carolina University men’s basketball team welcomed the No. 8 ranked University of Houston, in Minges Coliseum Wednesday night. ECU was blown out by 34 points again, 65-99.
“Coming into the game, I was really impressed with what Dooley had done,” Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson said. “He’s got them going in the right direction, and I think that is important. Your first year, win-loss record is the most overrated thing in the world. When you come into a situation like Dooley has, you’re laying a foundation, and establishing a culture.”
The Pirates (10-17, 3-12 AAC) entered Wednesday coming off of their first road win of the year on Saturday when they defeated Tulane University, 85-81.
