The 2018 schedule for East Carolina University’s baseball team has been released and it will be no walk-in-the-park for the team to return to prominence like it saw two season ago.
The schedule is highlighted by a three game weekend series against UNC Chapel Hill, from Feb. 23-25. Instead of playing all three contests on one field, the teams will start in Greenville before moving to Durham to play at the Durham Bulls home field then wrapping at UNC to allow fans to attend different ballparks to see the action.
Some other notable aspects for the Pirates include playing 18 of their first 28 games inside Clark-LeClair Stadium, with their first American Athletic Conference matchup against Wichita State, the newest member to the conference, on March 29.
