After a solid effort in Friday night’s 70-62 loss at No. 15 California, East Carolina’s basketball team continues its West Coast swing tonight at San Diego State.
The Pirates (2-1) and Aztecs (2-2) are scheduled to tip off at 10 p.m. EST in SDSU’s Viejas Arena.
In the Pirates’ first-ever game in California, they trailed by just three points with 2:14 left to play, but led by Tyrone Wallace’s game-high 20 points, the Bears were able to avoid an upset in Berkeley. Six-foot-9 ECU senior Mike Zangari tied his career high with 17 points, and junior forward Caleb White scored 15 while playing 40 minutes for the second consecutive game.
