Yesterday, former East Carolina University pitcher Jake Agnos was named the American Athletic Conference Male of the Year and the AAC Baseball scholar of the Year by the AAC league office.
Agnos was selected by the New York Yankees in the fourth found of the MLB draft and started in 17 games out of the 17 he appeared in during his final year at ECU, finishing with a 2.29 era.
He is the first Pirate to has ever win either award, let alone both awards. This only adds to the awards and records he has achieved during his final season and after he has left for the MLB.
