The East Carolina University men’s tennis team (18-3) is on a roll recently, boasting a 10-game win streak, with the opportunity for a historic season within its grasp.
The team has five tough matches remaining before the American Athletic Conference Championship, but are peaking at the right time. With its last loss happening more than a month ago, the team should have the confidence and experience needed to win.
The team extended its winning streak to double digits on Saturday, a 4-1 victory over Georgia Southern University (11-10), who defeated the Pirates 5-2 last season. The victory showed the level of improvement the Pirates has achieved this spring, as GSU, the University of Richmond and Winthrop University make up a list of teams the Pirates have gotten revenge on this season.
