When people think about Duke’s 1992 season, people tend to remember the classic Duke-Kentucky game.
This is especially true in the Commonwealth of Kentucky though for very different reasons.
However, the Duke-Michigan clash in the championship game was also memorable, although again for very different reasons.
By the time Duke got to the finals, it was a tired team, not least of all Christian Laettner. Up until that point, for two seasons Laettner had built up a reputation as being virtually unbeatable. At LSU, fans chanted vile things at him. It happened all across the ACC too.
