Danny Ferry had a brilliant career at Duke, emerging after the great class of ‘86 departed and leading Duke to the Final Four in his junior and senior seasons.
To an extent he’s been overshadowed by the brilliant talent that began to flow to Durham and also by the fact that many felt he underachieved in the NBA (we think he became an outstanding pro after he found his niche).
At Duke he showed a superb all-round game. He was a solid passer and a superb stretch four who also had a bit of a nasty streak which served him well in the NBA.
