At the risk of an argument, you can list the greatest athletes of the 20th century pretty quickly: Jim Brown. Muhammad Ali. Michael Jordan. Bo Jackson. Jim Thorpe. Babe Ruth (the young Ruth, not the Elvis-bloated later version). We’d put Secretariat in there even though he’s a horse.
And you’d have to add Wilt Chamberlain.
He could sprint with Brown, competed in gymnastics, track and field and volleyball in addition to basketball.
In his chosen/destined sport, he was over 7-0 tall (he never really said how tall he was spefically but Bill Russell thought he was at least 7-3), had sprinters speed, a 50” vertical and freakish strength.
