DURHAM, N.C.—Duke University sophomore defenseman Ian Yanulis was selected as this week’s ACC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Blue Devils’ win over Marquette Saturday. This is Yanulis’ first career award and the second straight week a Duke player has garnered the honor.
Yanulis, a close defenseman, helped hold Marquette to just eight goals, marking the sixth time this season the Blue Devils have held their opponent to fewer than 10 goals. The Duxbury, Mass., native picked up a career-high matching five ground balls and registered one caused turnover that resulted in a transition goal for the Blue Devils.
