There are different levels to the NBA draft. If you’re a Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett or Jayson Tatum, you know you’ll go very near the top.
If you’re Austin Rivers, Cam Reddish or Mason Plumlee, you know you’re going to go somewhere in the first round. And if you’re, say, Tre Jones, Gary Trent or Matthew Hurt, you won't know until you know.
But if you end up in the second round, or undrafted, just about the best thing that could happen to you is that the Spurs want you.
