PHOENIX – Duke sophomore Adam Wood shot a three-day total of 212 (-1) to tie for second at the Patriot All-America at The Wigwam outside Phoenix.
Essentially a college golf all-star tournament, the Patriot All-America features 84 of the nation’s best collegiate men’s golfers in a three-day stroke-play competition.
The Zionsville, Ind., native went 69-70-73 on the par-71 track, finishing just one shot off the pace.
Wood leads Duke with a 70.43 scoring average this season, firing seven rounds in the 60s and posting a red number nine times in 14 rounds during the fall slate.
