AWENDAW, S.C. – Sophomore Adam Wood shot a three-under 69 on Sunday to lead the No. 20 Duke men’s golf team in the first round of the Hootie at Bull’s Bay Intercollegiate, as the Blue Devils finished the day in a tie for fifth place.
Duke shot 289 (+1) as a team on Sunday. Charleston Southern holds the tournament lead at 273 (-15), followed by South Carolina at 277 (-11) in second and Wake Forest and Missouri in a tie for third at 284 (-4).
“Bull’s Bay is built for the wind and it requires you to make adjustments on the fly,” Duke head coach Jamie Green said.
