DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's soccer program recently collaborated with the women's soccer program at the University of North Carolina to create a video in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The two top-five programs put their rivalry aside to take a stand against racial inequality and social injustice during the ACC Unity Week.
"It was awesome to be able to set aside the rivalry and combine our social media forces in an effort to combat a problem that is bigger than sports," said senior defender Remi Swartz.
Both teams believe it is critical to speak up on the topic of inequality.
