DURHAM, N.C. – Tenth-ranked Duke lifts the lid on the 2017 campaign Sunday by facing Drexel of the CAA for the first time in program history. The Blue Devils return eight starters from an 11-9 2016 season, which saw the squad reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Looking Back at 2016
• Duke compiled an 11-9 ledger in 2016 and ranked 11th in the final Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) national poll.
• The Blue Devils earned the program’s 19th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, reaching the second round.
• Senior goalkeeper Kelsey Duryea totaled 181 stops to rank second on Duke’s single season list and wrapped up her career with 613 saves to become only the third goalkeeper in ACC history to reach 600 saves for her career.
