DURHAM, N.C. – Freshman attacker Charlotte North secured her fourth hat trick in as many collegiate games, but the 16th-ranked Blue Devils surrendered a 15-5 loss to 25th-ranked Stanford Friday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium.
Duke fell to 3-2 on the season while the Cardinal evened its record at 2-2.
Stanford’s Ali Baiocco and senior attacker Kyra Harney swapped tallies inside the opening three minutes before the visitors took off on a seven-goal run. Taylor Scornavacco of the Cardinal scored twice in that span while Baoicco earned a first-half hat trick.
