DURHAM, N.C. – In the first Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) poll of the spring campaign, the Duke women's golf program moved up to No. 4 nationally, coming off opening 2020 with a victory at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
Texas received 15 first place votes to earn the top spot, while Texas, Southern California, Arizona State, Duke, Kent State, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Stanford, Florida and Arizona rounded out the top 10.
In the spring opener, Duke carded rounds of 291, 273 and 283 for a one-under-par, 847, and finished ahead of nine top 10 teams to claim the victory.
