DURHAM, N.C. – For the second weekend in a row, the 10th-ranked Duke women’s fencing squad logged a perfect 5-0 record in front of their home crowd Sunday afternoon in Card Gymnasium. After four meets, the Blue Devil women hold a 15-8 (3-0 ACC) season record.
Duke picked up wins over MIT (22-5), Air Force (21-6), No. 8 Northwestern (18-9) and ACC foes Boston College (19-8) and North Carolina (14-13).
“Our team had an amazing weekend in front of our home crowd,” said head coach Alex Beguinet. “We did struggle a bit during our first two meets in Pennsylvania earlier in January but both the men and women went undefeated last weekend at the Eric Sollee Invitational and again this weekend at our annual meet.
