DURHAM, N.C. – After a record-breaking weekend at the Camel City Invitational, Duke track & field junior Matt Wisner was named the ACC Men’s Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday.
Wisner, a product of Carlisle, Pa., clocked a school-record time in the Elite 800m Saturday afternoon with a third-place finish in 1:49.22. With the NCAA flat track conversion, Wisner’s converted time is 1:47.68.
Wisner currently leads the ACC and ranks eighth in the country after competing against some of the best in the country, including 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Clayton Murphy, who won the event in 1:45.
