DURHAM, N.C. – After spearheading Duke’s best offensive weekend to date and leading the Blue Devils to a sweep of the Virginia Cavaliers to close out their first season of ACC play, sophomore Raine Wilson was named the Duke Student-Athlete of the Week Wednesday.
The Mechanicsville, Va., native turned in a 4-for-8 weekend at the plate, leading the team with three runs batted in, a double and a triple while totaling seven bases and team highs with an .875 slugging clip and .600 on-base percentage. The sweep of the Cavaliers was Duke’s second of the season and gave them three-straight conference series wins and four for the season.
