DURHAM, N.C. – Duke softball graduate student Raine Wilson will be out of action indefinitely after sustaining a knee injury last Thursday against NC Central.
Wilson, a four-year team captain for the Blue Devils, returned for her fifth year following the abbreviated 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A remarkable leader both on and off the field, Wilson has been an integral part of building the Duke softball program.
Throughout her career, the Mechanicsville, Va., native started 143 of 145 games and put together a .307 batting average. She has recorded 122 hits, including a program-leading 17 home runs and 89 RBI.
